Functional training uses your body weight to create tension and resistance on your joints and muscles, building and strengthening them naturally. As a result, we use very few machines.

Because our customers have such a wide age range, we have to be very knowledgeable in our training. You’ll find athletes as young as five and adults in their 80’s all training at IMEC. In addition to helping adults sustain an optimal weight, IMEC Fitness and Training Complex assists clients with chronic illnesses such as asthma, lupus, heart disease, diabetes, obesity and hypertension. We’ll help you improve your body composition and live a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly, eating wisely, and minimizing dependence on medication. Our expert trainers can also provide therapy through exercise to help you rebuild muscles and strength.
Adult exercise programs include a fitness assessment and are available in one-on-one and small group interval sessions. Experienced fitness professionals motivate those looking to lose weight and increase their physical activity in a way that group exercise classes like Zumba, Pilates, aerobics, aquatics, boot camps and other weekly workout programs do not.
IMEC Fitness and Training Complex customizes workout schedules, personal training, meal plans and coaching sessions for each individual to obtain better health. Led by certified personal trainers, adult workout routines include warm-up, lifting weights, aerobic exercises, interval training, and high-intensity total-body movements. Most adults who adhere to their recommended fitness program improve their cardiovascular and metabolic health and reduce body fat.
Nutrition
Exercise and meals go together! At IMEC, we’re ready to help you improve your daily nutrition and develop a meal plan. With the help of our training and meal plan, adults lose about 10 to 15 lbs a month.
